The first house to be built at the prestigious Cove at Pezula in Knysna, this was to be the home of the developer as well as a showcase for marketing the adjacent sites set on this prestine coastline.

The accommodation requirement was substantial and the house extends to the edges of the building zone in order to fit within the 8m height restriction.  Great effort was taken to minimise the visual intrusion of the building on the site.  At the same time, access to the sea views were maximised by stepping the house down the site.  The back of the house therefore overlooks the courtyard and the planted terraces which break down the building mass.

Linear copper roofs simplify the building and provide lofty volumes internally with exposed solid jarrah trusses detailed with stainless steel.  The fixtures and the fittings throughout this building have been exquisitely crafted.
