This is the conversion of an old hotel; a heritage building in Muizenberg Village which is an urban conservation area.  The building was converted into two 2-bedroomed apartments and one 3-bedroomed duplex. 

Effort was made to use contemporary details that are sensitive, but in many cases contrasting, to the heritage nature of the building.  Forged wall railings, contemporary staircase and bulkhead details, double volumes and exposed trusses as well as bathrooms and kitchen fitouts using beautiful materials, ensure that design adds value to the refurbishment.
